Return & Refund Policy

How Payments Work

All payments on RentPro are processed through TradeSafe, South Africa's trusted escrow service. Your money is never sent directly to the vendor — it's held securely until you return the dress.

Your payment includes:

  • • Rental fee — for the dress rental period
  • • VAT (15%) — South African value-added tax
  • • Delivery fee — based on courier chosen (free for in-store pickup)
  • • Security deposit — fully refundable if dress returned undamaged

Return Timeline

Return within 24 hours of rental end date

Full deposit refund (minus any damage deductions)

Late return (1-3 days after end date)

R100/day late fee deducted from deposit

Very late return (4+ days after end date)

Full deposit forfeited. Additional charges may apply.

Deposit Refund Process

  1. You return the dress to the vendor (via courier or in-store)
  2. Vendor inspects the dress within 3 business days
  3. If no damage: full deposit is released back to you
  4. If damage found: vendor submits a damage report with deduction amount
  5. You can acknowledge or dispute the damage report
  6. Deposit (minus any agreed deductions) is refunded via TradeSafe

Refunds typically take 3-5 business days to reach your account after release.

Cancellation Policy

Before vendor confirms: Full refund, no questions asked.

After confirmation, before dispatch: Full refund minus R50 admin fee.

After dispatch: Return the dress and your deposit will be refunded. Rental fee is non-refundable once dispatched.

Dispute Resolution

If you disagree with a damage report or have any issues with your rental, TradeSafe provides independent dispute resolution. Both parties submit evidence and TradeSafe makes a fair determination.
